Labor of Love

We spent Labor Day in the Outer Banks with Dallas and Chris and Chris' parents.  Tyler had never been to the OBX before, so he was pretty excited.  We made a quick pit stop in Virginia Beach on the way there to drop off Maddox's birthday present and enjoy a cookout and bonfire!

After arriving at the Young's house on Saturday, we went straight to the beach.  We were greeted by sandy roads and red caution flags that prohibited swimming.  Luckily, it was not too hot since we could not get in the water!  We practically had to set up our chairs under a house because of the erosion that had been caused by Hurricane Irene.  We enjoyed a nice afternoon talking, walking the beach, and drinking beer!

After our afternoon at the beach, Miss Trish and Big Rob were nice enough to offer to watch Dylan so that the four of us could go out.  It was just like old times!  We started with a drink overlooking the ocean and then enjoyed a nice seafood feast.  We stopped for a quick night cap at an interesting bar on the sound where we had some fun!

Hi Husbands!
Mommy can still have fun!
YEAH!
On Sunday, after a breakfast of yummy pancakes, we headed back over to the beach for the day.  The flags were down and the beach had a little more room for us to spread out.

Sunday night we had a cookout at the Young's house and enjoyed another bonfire...except this one was a little bigger than the one at Dave's house!

We had such a good time and really enjoyed getting to spend time with Chris and Dallas and Chris' parents!
