The Streets of Philadelphia

Let me tell you, it's a process to plan a trip with a baby in tow!  Tyler and I packed up the car FULL of all of Dylan's stuff and headed to Pennsylvania for Dylan's northern debut!  We were a little worried about how he would do in the car for seven hours, but we were pleasantly surprised!
Are we there yet!?
We arrived at The Cotes Tuesday evening and enjoyed several days together.  Dylan got to spend a lot of time with Grandpa, who was so great!!  He helped me with bath time and diaper changes.

Thursday night we went out to a mexican restaurant in West Chester with a bunch of my work friends.  We had a great time laughing and sipping margaritas.  I had to keep an eye on Devon though, because I heard her plotting to smuggle Dylan back to Boston in her purse!

On Friday, Dylan finally got to meet his Uncle Chris.  We went to lunch and then picked up Ty for a afternoon drink at the wine bar in Conshohocken.

Chris' band had a show on Friday night down in the city.  So while the boys were out, Dallas and I enjoyed a Thai dinner with Dylan in Manayunk.  He slept through the whole thing!  On Saturday, we went to the Boat House to visit with a lot of our friends who wanted to meet Dylan.  It was so nice to be able to introduce our little guy to so many people and to catch up with our friends!  We love North Carolina, but we sure do miss you guys!

Our favorite restaurant in Philadelphia is "From the Boot," so we went there for dinner on Saturday.  I have been dreaming about the garlic bread and Italian yumminess since the last time I ate there in October.

Sunday, we began our trek back to North Caroline.  We were lucky enough to coordinate a lunch get-together in Baltimore with two of my best girlfriends from college.  It was the perfect way to end our fantastic little vacation.  We enjoyed wine, sandwiches, and baby talk...and the boys watched basketball.  We are also anxiously awaiting the arrival of Sara's little lady who should be here within the next month!

Dylan has been such an amazing addition to our lives and we're thrilled that so many people have been eager to meet him!  Wonder where we'll go next!?
