Summer Visit with Grandma and Grandpa

Dylan's Grandma and Grandpa came down to spend a few days with us.  Sherry is a teacher and has the summers off, so they were able to spend a little extra time with us than usual.

On Saturday, we went downtown and had lunch at Natty Greene's Brew Pub.  It is a really neat restaurant with exposed brick walls, locally brewed beer, and good food.  It is named after Nathaniel Greene, the prominent Major General during America's War for Independence and the inspiration for the name of the owners' hometown, Greensboro, North Carolina.  Despite the good food, Dylan was more interested in biting Grandpa's nose than eating!
YUMMY!

On Sunday we had lunch at Aviator Brewing Company in Fuquay Marina.  We enjoyed some southern bbq and Dylan demanded to taste some of Grandpa's mac'n'cheese.
I LOVE macaroni and cheese!

After lunch, we went to the Adams Family Vineyard for a wine tasting.  We got inside just before the storm arrived.  Dylan was a hit with the ladies who were doing the wine tasting.  However, he was not the only baby in town - there was another little lady there enjoying a day out with her parents!

We had a lot of fun during our visit and even managed to squeeze in some educational time.  Dylan got to read books with Grandma!
