We spent last weekend with David, Ashley and Maddox!! We had not seen them since Dylan was 2 weeks old, so we were all very happy to get together. It was amazing to see how much the little guys had both changed in such a short period of time.
We had plans to go to a family-friendly wine festival Saturday morning. Tyler, being the meteorologist that he is, had been watching the weather all week long. He informed us that we were in for a really bad day of storms, so we should probably hang a little closer to home. So we headed downtown to the Que-Fest which was being sponsored by The Pit restaurant. We listened to some bluegrass, ate some bar-b-que and enjoyed a drink as the clouds began to roll in overhead. Afterward we stopped at a restaurant for a quick snack and then decided we better head home. Thanks to the crazy phones that everyone has, Ty could see the red line of horrible weather coming RIGHT for us. When we got home, this is what we saw on TV:

| Tornado heading straight for Raleigh |
After Ashley made us some margaritas (which I have been craving since Dylan was born and were A-Mazing!!!) we decided that we better have a plan in case the tornadoes came our way. Somehow, we decided on stuffing all 6 of us into the downstairs half bath since it is the most interior room in the house and has no windows. Thank goodness, we did not have to put this
brilliant plan into action, as we only got VERY heavy rain, high winds and hail. The Raleigh region was hit very hard and many people lost their homes and some people were even killed and injured by the storm. We were very, very lucky.

After the storms passed, the sun came out for the rest of the day. It was so beautiful and bright out, that it was hard to believe that we had just experienced the worst storm in the area in the last 25 years. The big boys went out to a bar to watch the hockey games and Ashley and I stayed at home to enjoy the rest of our margaritas and to play with the little boys!

On Sunday, we went to lunch at a local deli and then spent a little bit of time outside together before Dave, Ashley, and Maddox had to head back to Virginia Beach.

We're all planning on getting together again soon! We're just hoping that next time brings more margaritas and less tornadoes!
It was a rough weekend for a lot of people. So glad the tornadoes didn't come your way. Dylan will be chasing after Maddox before you know it.
