This year, Easter was
really fun for Dylan. He LOVED the treats in his Easter Basket, searching for eggs, and dying Easter Eggs pretty colors.

The Easter Bunny came!
On Saturday, we took Dylan to an Easter Egg Hunt in downtown Raleigh,
Raleigh Easter. It was free and they had over 60,000 eggs for the kids to find, balloons, and a bounce house. The egg hunts were divided into age appropriate groups and Dylan was with the 0-3's. This was the only group that allowed parents to enter the hunt with the children.
About 10 minutes before the hunt began, people started squeezing up to the front of the roped off area. And just as I had expected, there were some parents there who would prove not to be very good examples for their children. When the horn beeped, there were several parents who pushed and shoved and grabbed up 15-20 eggs right away for their kids so that other children were unable to get any. Poor Dylan only had 1 little egg in his basket. One of the volunteers saw what was happening, and threw 2-3 more eggs down right in front of Dylan for him to pick up. It's such a shame that some people feel the need to act like vultures at events that are supposed to be fun for children. Luckily, Dylan didn't really notice and he still had fun!

"I found an egg, Momma!"
After the egg hunt, he was eager to go over to the bounce house. Dylan was
dragging us and saying, "Come on Momma, come on Daddy, BOUNCE." I wasn't sure how he was going to do because he is a pretty cautious little boy. But he got right in there and starting jumping with the help of one of the volunteers. After the egg hunt, we went to the
Busy Bee Cafe and had lunch on their roof top.

JUMP - JUMP
We started Easter Sunday with egg dying, and Dylan LOVED it! We dyed the eggs pretty colors and put sparkles on them. Then we headed out to Durham to eat lunch and visit with some of my family. What a great weekend!
