The Star City Firsts!

Last week, Dylan made his first trip home to Roanoke to meet the rest of the family!  We spent Thursday morning with Dylan's great-grandmother.  Grandma's face lit up when my dad and I walked into her house and we surprised her with her newest great-grandson.  She did so well with him and he pretty much behaved!  Grandma is 98 years old and still lives on her own!!

Then, Thursday night, aunt Jane and Uncle Tommy came over to meet Dylan!

Friday, Dylan had his first lunch at Aesy's!  Our family has been eating at Aesy's my entire life, so everyone there was excited to meet the newest Aesy patron.

After lunch, Dylan did his first art project with his cousin, Carol.  She put paint on his feet and did footprints on a plate that she is decorating for him that will hang in his nursery!

Saturday, Dylan made his Roanoke debut at a "Sip and See" party that my mom and dad threw for him. Tyler and I were overwhelmed by the number of people who came to meet our son.  We feel so lucky to have such an awesome network of people who care about us in Roanoke!  We're already looking forward to our next trip!
